NOTES: Wife of Doyle Abernathy, daughter of John W. Dover and Bertha Mae Williams Edna Abernathy November 14, 1946 - February 27, 2012 Mrs. Edna Abernathy, 65, of Cartersville passed away,
Monday, February 27, 2012 at Kindred Hospital Rome. Born in Jasper
on November 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John W. Dover
and the late Bertha Mae Williams Dover. Survivors include her husband of forty years, Doyle Abernathy; her children, Christy Abernathy, Dewayne Abernathy and Lamar Abernathy and wife, Lynn; ten grandchildren; her sisters, Patricia Jones, Mary Phillips, Gerald Dean Cromer, Alice Lingerfelt and Elizabeth Dover; her brothers, Larry, Jimmy, Robert and John Dover; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at Central Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Moore and Reverend Donny Summey officiating.
